About the Mechanical Design Engineer Role
At Cask, we manufacture world class automated canning systems particularly well-tailored to craft beverage producers. Most importantly you are a dynamic problem solver who loves to “figure it out”.
Did you ever build your own grappling hook to help you climb trees? Did you ever try to build a sail for your bicycle? We're looking for people who are curious and energized by being creative.
At Cask our engineers are not office dwellers. You are just comfortable with a wrench or multi-meter in your hand on the shop floor as you are evaluating the tolerances on your SolidWorks model.
Your goal is simply to help us solve problems and build cool stuff.
60% - Experimentation and Design

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for This Role
Our ideal candidate is a Mechanical Engineer with a broad-based understanding of kinematics, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, materials science and machine design. You can draw upon your understanding of basic principles of physics to solve design problems. Ideally you will have significant experience with automation/mechatronics as well.

This role will be located at our manufacturing facility in SE Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
