Commissioning & Training Technician
Cask Global Canning Solutions - Calgary, Alberta
We are looking for another Commissioning & Training Technician to help our customers get up and running with their new canning equipment.
For the right candidate, this is a kick-ass job that serves the craft-beverage industry and will have you travelling often (hint: must love business travel).
About the Role & Who You Are:
You will travel throughout a designated region approximately two-to-three weeks each month to facilitate the commissioning and training of our canning systems. Your work will largely focus on getting the canning lines operating at high efficiency and training customer operators. However, you will own the entire commissioning and training experience, for your region, from start to finish including customer communications, managing expectations, scheduling, and post-visit activities.
You like people and machinery just as much as you like after-work beers. You must looooove business travel and perhaps more importantly, your family must love your love of business travel – it’s essential that they are supportive of this lifestyle. The days can be long and unexpected surprises will come your way, but that’s ok, you’re tenacious. You’ve got more grit and perseverance than Chuck Norris. You’re resourceful like Arya Stark. You’ve got more endurance than a Peloton coach. You’re a workhorse but you’re also a thinker; if there’s a better way, you’ll say so. You and customer service go together like beer and cans (wink, wink). Every customer environment and visit will be unique so you’ll need a flexible approach, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and a can-do-it attitude (get it!). Last but not least, you must have a passion for the craft beverage industry - someone we can geek out with.
Your Day Will Require the Following of You:
Qualifications:
Unique to this Role
There will be a significant amount of travel in this role, approximately 10 days per month (up to 15), with the possibility of two consecutive weeks at a time. Work hours are typically between core business hours but will sometimes include evenings and weekends when you’re on the road. Last-minute travel and schedule changes are a reality for this role so schedule flexibility is required. While it's preferred that this role resides in Calgary, Alberta, living close to a major international airport is a requirement.
Working at Cask Global Canning Solutions
This is a full-time, permanent role with a competitive salary starting at $60,000 CAD to $70,000 CAD per year (based on experience). Top performers will have the potential for additional bonuses, bringing the earning potential for this role to approximately $80,000 to $90,000 CAD. We also offer a comprehensive group benefits package (health, dental, etc.), a pension matching program and 3 weeks’ vacation. You’ll be joining an organization of about 65 people, which means that all your hard work is going to get noticed. Despite our incredible success and recent expansion, we still have the feel of a small family business, and you’ll see that from day one.
