You will play a critical role in the addition of offices outside of North America and will play an integral role in enhancing Cask’s culture.

The People Success Partner will support Cask in building out the infrastructure required to sustain 20%-30% average annual growth in employees worldwide. You will be responsible for all aspects of support and success of Cask’s single most important resource, our People! This will include significant investment in our Mission, core values and culture. The People Success Partner will work to protect and enhance Cask’s culture through teambuilding events and staff programs. Furthermore, Cask is looking for a partner who will sustain the same great culture when assisting with recruiting and hiring, employee movement, performance management and development, change management, policy and procedure documentation and controls along annual cycle programs and day to day activities related to payroll, benefits and compensation.

Specific Duties:

People Success Management

  • As a Cask Core Values Ambassador the People Success Partner will need to be creative in assisting the leadership team with ways to motivate and encourage the team to maintain a strong connection with Cask’s core values, including employees in remote offices.
  • Create and execute an Employee Experience Vision consistent with our Customer experience vision.
  • Partner with leaders to prepare and maintain Scorecards for each position in the organization.
  • Facilitate annual performance management procedures and assist with the administration of Cask’s short-term investment plan.
  • Regular review and maintenance of compensation plans to ensure competitive compensation structure.

Recruiting & Hiring

The successful candidate will assist the Leadership group with full cycle recruitment for both the Calgary head office and new International offices. The recruiting process will include the following:

  • Collaboration with department leaders on a regular basis and proactive identification of future hiring needs along with crafting job descriptions where required.
  • Experience with attracting candidates using various sources, like social media networks and employee referrals.
  • Work closely with the team, assist with design, and implement overall recruiting strategy and continuously building a pipeline of candidates.
  • Prepare recruitment materials, post jobs, and work with the hiring leader to screen candidates.
  • Source and recruit candidates by using databases, social media, and personal network.
  • Collaborate with the hiring manager to assess applicants’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
  • Facilitate employee orientation and the onboarding of new team members.

International People Success:

  • Coordinate and schedule visa applications for various team members responsible for extensive international travel.
  • Work with leaders to evaluate immigration opportunities along with understanding the required steps to execute Canadian employees living abroad. Work with consultants and employees to successfully move members of the team to new and exciting opportunities abroad.
  • Assist with onboarding international employees including, but not limited to, domestic program requirements and health insurance.

People Success Administration

  • General administration including offer letters, termination letters, and other important employee documents as required.
  • Respond to day-to-day inquiries from leaders, employees and external stakeholders on benefits, policies and other administrative matters.
  • Prepare policies and procedures in accordance with local labor laws and disseminate new policies in accordance with Cask’s culture and values.
  • Administration and processing of payroll, benefits, and pension plan contributions.
  • Maintain employee records and update files including compensation documentation, scorecard evaluations and any other pertinent changes to employment.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a diploma or degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related program.
  • The preferred candidate will have 5-7 years of progressive experience in similar roles.
  • You are confident and comfortable working with senior leaders with the ability to challenge ideas and maintain a strong and constructive relationship.
  • Experience with immigration or international employee management would be an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a remote team including international travel where necessary.
